Come and get involved in making an international, collectively made zombie film!

Zombie Festival 2007 is an internationally co-ordinated film and
site-based events which incorporates elements of both old and new
media. It will take place over the next 3 months and focus primarily
on locally organised workshops and events leading up to a full-scale
film production, also incorporating internet-coordinated film project.

The predominant focus of the Zombie Festival will be the creation of
"World of the Undead", a community-created film which has been
scripted, produced and created collaboratively across the world.

By the end of June a finalised shooting script will be posted on our
website and the first of the storyboards will begin to be seen. We
will then ask members of the public to shoot the storyboards
themselves, and submit their finished scenes for incorporation into
the final product.

The community of zombie-followers will be able to see the various
options available for each scene and vote on which versions they think
work the best.

In the lead up to World Zombie Day, various packages will be made
available on the website for local coordinators to download and use to
host zombie workshops. Undead-focused makeup, costuming, art
direction, cinematography and acting packets will be provided as the
weeks progress.

On September 13, International Zombie Day will take place, allowing us
to coordinate large-scale scenes for the film across the world.

Things are starting to hot-up! Funding applications are being written
left, right and centre, coordinators are coordinating, plots are being
developed and websites are being designed. Now we are getting everyone
together for a beer and a chin-wag to see who's around that wants to
be involved.
